Nov 11-13: This year we took our annual camping trip somewhere new – Jalama Beach! With a little over a dozen campers, we happily filled up the large Starfish Cove group campsite, just a stone’s throw away from the beach. On Friday, we quickly set up our tents in the dark and went for moonlit beach walks. The next day was filled with Coleman cooking, body surfing, dog walking, beach exploring, campfire-ing, story-telling, toe-stubbing adventures – with some of us falling asleep at 7 from such a fun-filled day! On Sunday the campers tried to squeeze in last bits of camping fun before it was time to pack up and head back to the real world, where things like work and cell service existed. As we packed, we reminisced about the group hike we took Saturday night, as well as the good, old-fashioned burger dinner YMF provided and everyone helped prepare. With stuffed cars, we waved our goodbyes and promised to return next year!
